Award-winning author Deborah Ellis visited GPA on September 24, 2015. She shared her writing process, how the people and places along her journey have inspired her stories, and how to find and keep the motivation to follow your dreams. Her award-winning trilogy The Breadwinner will soon be a major motion picture. GPA students in grades 6, 7, 9, and 10 enjoyed meeting her and asking thoughtful questions about her life as a writer and the stories behind her books.

GPA’s World Language Night was a huge success! Ballet Folklorico and American Sign Language students performed for family, friends, and staff while many students presented their learning by displaying colorful, thoughtful projects accompanied by delicious home-made foods to highlight a country or tradition they studied. Thanks to all of you who joined in the festivities and made the night a fun event of learning and celebrating.
