On April 4th, 2014, the GPA Chess Team will participate in the 2014 Junior Chess Tournament for the 2nd time in school history. The event will take place at the Town & Country Hotel in San Diego. This year, our GPA Chess Team will have their own space so that they can practice and study their chess strategies for their upcoming games. Our chess players will play against players from all over the country, including New York, Florida, Missouri, etc. The team’s coach, Sean Bentz, is one of the people who helped our GPA Chess Team make this opportunity happen. The GPA Chess Team includes many middle school and high school students, who help each other and study together for the upcoming games.
