FRIENDSHIP & TEAM SPIRIT are two of the John Wooden tiers you saw out on the field yesterday during the softball game vs. King Chavez. Our seniors Maria & Jazmine were honored yesterday along with 3 seniors from King Chavez prior to the start of the game. Each received lei from 5 of our juniors and a cheer from the rest of the girl’s team. Congratulations Maria & Jazmine for your dedication to the team, we are so proud of you two.
It was a game filled with excitement, cheers and even a homerun by our own Ismelda A. Playing the last home game of the season, our girls came out on fire against King Chavez. Leading the entire game our girls finish the game with a win 21-9. Congratulations on a great season!

GPA vs. Liberty Charter

The GPA Eagles varsity softball team beat the Liberty Charter Lions with a 12-11 come from behind victory at Lions field. The stormy weather did not did not dampen the excellent play of Alejandra R, Serena G, Amanda S, and Raven W. With this win the Eagles secure 3rd place in the Frontier league for the 2nd year in a row. Great job Eagles!!

The Eagles varsity softball team dropped their game to San Ysidro HS on Monday 13 – 23. Alejandra put in a stellar pitching performance while Raven, Jazmin, and Serena put in great performances at the plate.

Eagles fall to Crawford HS 21-17. Despite having one of the best hitting days of the season by freshman Arlen A. and Serena G, the Eagles defense had a hard time containing the Crawford offense.
