Spring Sports Banquet 2016
Hello Student-Athletes,
The office of athletics would like to thank our athletes, families and friends who attended the spring awards banquet this past week. What an incredible two nights we had celebrating our seniors with the traditional blue Rose ceremony, our student athletes and teams for all their achievements this season. The evening ended with a variety of food, music and celebration.
Due to the size of our teams, our celebrations were covered over two nights. The first night was boy’s tennis, softball, baseball and lacrosse. Highlighting the evening was our girl’s softball team who won the Apollo league championships. Daisy L. was selected the “All League” player of the year. Raven W. won the player of the season award. Boy’s tennis had 3 players that went to CIF, Chris C, Kevin G, and Peter M. Player of the year went to Peter M. Boy’s baseball finished strong this year and receiving top honors was Angel Martinez who won player of the season. Lacrosse had an excellent year playing as a varsity team for their first time. Receiving player of the year was Andres A.
Kicking off the second night was our wonderful cheer squad who entertained the crowd with a montage of songs and dance. Congratulations to our outstanding track & field team for capturing the Apollo league championship title for the 3rd year in a row. Receiving top honors were Josh R. & Kayla S. for player of the season. Boy’s volleyball had another great season. Top honors went to Jimmy P. as player of the season. Crew who traveled up to Sacramento to compete in their first event did extremely well. Congratulations to Herman G. for receiving the player of the season award. Our cheer squad was honored as well for all their accomplishments off the field. Their smiles, cheers and great energy kept our proud eagles engaged in all of our sports.
Hats off and a bow to all of our student athletes, and especially to our seniors who led the way this year in honors. We are so proud of everyone for all your accomplishments this season. GO EAGLES……
