Boys Varsity Volleyball Makes History!!
In their inaugural year, our boys varsity volleyball team proved that hard work pays off! Our boys will take on Clairemont High School on Wednesday 5/13 at 7pm for the first round of CIF Division 4 playoffs. Come support our team and cheer them on to victory!!

Gompers Preparatory Academy boys varsity volleyball team defeated Coleman Tech 3-1 for the second time this season improving their league record to 7-2! Our Eagles continue to play hard despite losing teammates due to injuries. This was a huge win for the team as they are in the last week of their regular season. Come out and support our Eagles this Thursday, May 7th for the last home game of the season at 3:30pm at the Jackie Robinson YMCA.

Gompers Prep boys volleyball defeated O’Farrell Charter for the second time this season improving their league record to 6 – 1. Setters John S. & Brandon C. led the way with over 50 assists. Come support the team this Thursday, April 30th at the Jackie Robinson YMCA at 3:30pm as they take on Chula Vista Learning Community Charter.
GPA Too Much For CCPAA

Gompers Preparatory Academy defeated CCPAA 3-1 to improve their league record to 5 – 1. After taking the first set down to the wire and losing 26-24 seniors Luis L., Jordi L., & Felix A., teamed up with sophomores Eric L., John S., & Sergio C. to win the next 3 straight sets. It was an outstanding team effort.

GPA Sweeps Bayfront Charter

The Eagles won their first away game of the season vs Bayfront Charter 3-0 to increase their league record to 4-1. Senior captain Luis L, again showed his consistency by serving 22 points over the 3 sets & Sophomore middle hitter Eric L led the team in attacks. This first year team continues to set the standard for future volleyball teams at Gompers Prep Academy.
GPA Still Undefeated at Home

Gompers Prep Boys Varsity Volleyball remains undefeated at home with a win over Coleman Tech, 3 – 0. Senior Captain Jonathan C. was on fire prior to dislocating his shoulder in the third set of the match.
Juniors Jimmy P. & Daniel G. controlled the passing game from the back row while middle hitters Eric L and Felix A racked up the attacks in the front row. It was big a big team win!

The Boys Varsity Volleyball Team took a tough luck loss last night vs Chula Vista Learning Community Charter School down in San Ysidro. The boys lost the 1st & 3rd sets of the match by only a few points despite solid efforts from junior Brandon Chandara and senior Felix Avitia. Come support the boys this Thursday, April 16th at 3:30pm at the Jackie Robinson YMCA!

Sophomore setter John Stewart led the way with a solid hustle all over the court & senior captains, Luis Lopez & Johnny Castillo, continued their streak of consistent serving & hitting that paved the way for the win. The boys varsity volleyball team played hard in their first game of the season vs non-conference opponent, Del Lago, but just missed the win. The entire team played well and continue to develop quality skills each day in their inaugural season. The team was led by strong performances from middle hitter Jonathon Castillo, outside hitter Luis Lopez, & setter John Stewart. Come support the team at their next home games on Tuesday, April 7th and Thursday, April 9th at 3:30 at the Jackie Robinson YMCA.
