On April 24th Gompers Preparatory played Chula Vista Learning Community Charter. GPA scored 2 runs in the first inning, great job Erick C & Victor R. The boys got a little confident thinking they could beat this team easily. At the bottom of the inning CVLC put 4 runs on the board. In the next few innings CVLCC put 7 more runs on the board, score 2-11 in favor of CVLCC.
In a turn of events during the 4th inning Eagles got a burst of energy and started to put runs on the board. Henok, Abraham, Eusebio and Isiah led the way. In the 5th inning our eagles would not let CVLCC score any more runs due to the great pitching by Abraham A & Daniel S. Up to bat were Daniel S. and Fernando J. who hit a double and single to get on base. Our eagles determine to win added more runs to gain the edge over CVLCC and win the game 14-11.
Our eagles will play High Tech CV at home on the 29th, game time 3:30. Come out and support our team. GO EAGLES!
